Job Summary: 

The main responsibility of the Sr. Manager, Institutional Sales Operations is to optimize the success of the organization’s sales team by managing sales goals, projections, and processes. The Sr. Manager, Institutional Sales Operations will manage the day to day activities and projections of all in line and pipeline products. The Sr. Manager, Institutional Sales Operations will communicate by phone, email, and in-person meetings as necessary to provide the best customer service possible to support the Sales Team. The Sr. Manager of Institutional Sales Operations is expected to understand the Generic Pharmaceutical market both from outside sales to inside workings to be able to inform sound financial and strategic decisions to their Manager. The Sr Manager of Institutional Sales Operations is expected to operate under all of Avet’s compliance guidelines and use company funds in a judicious and ethical manner..

Reporting Relationships                                   

  • This is an individual contributor.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. 
  • Manage and analyze Wholesale Data (852, 867, etc.) to evaluate market trends and maximize sales.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the sales team and management. 
  • Streamline and automate sales processes to improve productivity and reduce manual efforts.
  • Sales planning/ customer forecasting, contract analysis and bid requisitions, customer terms negotiations, and the measurement of customer contract compliance and overall performance. 
  • Create, build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction while supporting company goals. 
  • Supports with contract and pricing negotiation and RFP/Bid opportunities.
  • Effectively manage time, resources, and workload.
  • Up to 15% travel (attending National Tradeshows)
  • Adhere to all safety and cGMP standards and guidelines, and report unsafe conditions, near misses, and/or injuries in a timely manner.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge:                                                               

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of Generic Pharmaceutical experience.
  • Understanding of the Pharmaceutical market landscape

Key Competencies:

  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  2. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other PC-related applications. SAP experience is preferred.
  3. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a strong customer orientation.
  4. Proven track record for delivering consistent and strong sales results.

Work is primarily sedentary in nature; routine bending, walking, lifting and reaching are required.
